Who we are

Hacktales ("we", "us") operates hacktales.com and related pages such as the Cybersecurity Foundation Program enrollment page and the Cybersecurity Personality Quiz. This policy explains what we collect when you use them and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Details you give us in forms: your name, email address, phone number, country, organization, and the message or answers you submit
• Quiz answers and the result they produce
• Technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring site, collected through analytics and advertising cookies
• Payment confirmations from our payment provider when you enrol in a program (we do not see or store your card details)

How we use it

• To respond to enquiries and send the brochure, resources or newsletter you requested
• To contact you about programs, cohorts and events we think are relevant to you
• To deliver training and support to enrolled learners
• To understand how the site is used and improve it
• To measure and improve our advertising

Email and marketing

When you request a brochure, take the quiz, subscribe to the newsletter or register interest in a program, we add you to our mailing list, which is managed through Mailchimp. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time without affecting any service you have paid for.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Hacktales: our email platform (Mailchimp), scheduling (Calendly), payments (Paystack), web hosting, analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising platforms (Meta). Each of them processes data on our instructions and under their own privacy terms. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and marketing data for as long as you remain subscribed or until you ask us to delete it. Learner records are kept for the duration of your program and for as long as needed to issue certificates and meet accounting obligations.

Your rights

Security

We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep risk low.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
